SUMMARY:100th Anniversary Celebration and Vault Room Museum ribbon cutting
DESCRIPTION:The Flagler County Historical Society is pleased to announce the opening of a brand new museum!\n\nThe Vault Room Museum\, located in the Historic 1926 Flagler County Courthouse\, located at 201 East Moody Blvd.\, is a project several years in the making.\n\nSeating up to 50 people at a time\, the space is located in the building’s original vault room that housed county records until the Kim C. Hammond Justice Center was constructed in 2007. Containing 10 original benches from the second-story courtroom\, the museum features exhibits on Courthouse History\, AAUW 1920 Women’s Voting Rights\, History Ecotourism\, the video documentary work of Seeking Insights for Solutions\, as well as Veteran Interviews compiled by Historians Sisco Deen and Bill Ryan.\n\nThe opening of the museum is well timed to also celebrate the 100th anniversary of the courthouse building (1926-2026).\n\nA ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place on Saturday\, March 14\, 2026\, from 2 – 4 pm.
