As the official Local Arts Agency (LAA) for Flagler County, our mission is to build unity among member organizations, engage in advocacy and education in support of the arts and humanities, promote arts, culture, and history in Flagler County, and to provide resources to enrich the lives of its residents and visitors.

Caribbean Indigenous Resistance / Resistencia indígena del Caribe ¡Taíno Vive!
The Smithsonian bilingual exhibition “Caribbean Indigenous Resistance / Resistencia indígena del Caribe ¡Taíno Vive!” tells the captivating story of the endurance and courage of Caribbean peoples. The exhibition examines the history of Spanish and English-speaking islands, and the impact and legacy of Caribbean Indigenous knowledge throughout the world.
Visitors to the AACS will learn about the Caribbean Indigenous survival journey through stories, contemporary crafts, musical instruments, and utilitarian objects. The exhibition will include video content and more than 60 striking images and graphics on freestanding structures. It will explore the rich and enduring cultural legacies of the region, the value and impact of the culture’s knowledge on the world, and the complicated questions around heritage, ancestry, and race that emerge from Taíno identities today.

Come join the experience and shop local or you can order custom pieces of all kinds. Each vendor is uniquely selected by Pepper Pyle to showcase their work! From salt scrubs to wooden surfboards, home decor to paintings, blown glass to clothing, recycled art to jewelry ALL made with the hands and mind. There are so many talented people here, you don’t want to miss this!
