Join us on Friday October 11, 2024, at 4:00 pm to celebrate and dedicate the historic wharf at Long’s Landing. This wharf was part of the 1800’s plantation, St. Joseph’s owned by General Joseph Hernandez. He was a sugar planter, the state’s first delegate to Congress, appointed by a legislative council in 1823, and the first Hispanic to serve in Congress from Florida. Other local plantation owners from that era also used the wharf to ship their products around the world.” Learn more of the history at the dedication and be the one who will say, I was there!
